Minga Hall Pass System @ Teague
Minga is a whole school that is a campus management tool used at Teague to replace paper passes. Students or teachers use school computers to create active restroom timers, while teachers and administrators monitor hallway traffic and limits from a central dashboard online. Minga records passes, tardys, and tracks when students are out of class.
Minga provides a friendly My Class interface and the ability for students or teachers to create their own passes using a school computer. An intelligent hall pass queue gives teachers, and staff the visibility while making sure the hallways never get crowded.
Minga sets precise limits on student movement—where they go, when they go, and for how long. By using Minga with the tardy system teachers and staff can monitor who is out of class. Minga’s advanced analytics help teachers and staff prevent students from being with students they are not supposed to be around, prevent planned meetups, and drastically reduce incidents in the halls during class at Teague.
Minga also has positive rewards systems where students can recieve digital tiger stripes that can be used in the PTSA Tiger store. This is a way teachers can recognizes student achievement, random acts of kindness, or just postive things they do every day. Minga positive rewards system reinforces expectations and rewards desired behaviors.
Minga at Teague also is used as a tardy system and records the number of tardys that a student receives from each class. When a student receives enough tardys they will be assigned a Lunch Detention or Wednesday detention. Parents and staff are notified immediately of these assigned detentions via email and text messages.
Parents will recieve a weekly report/summary via email or text of thier students Minga activities that include tardys, detentions, positive behavior reports, and hall passes.
