Title I & Family Engagement

TITLE I & TEAGUE MIDDLE SCHOOL

Our goal is to provide multiple opportunities to families to engage in their student's education. Teague will have several events throughout the school year for you to participate in. If you have any questions about these events, please feel free to contact the school. There are several links below to assist you please click on the icons to visit these websites.

  • Schools that receive Title I funds are required to develop a written plan to:

    • Engage parents/guardians/responsible family members (henceforth referred to as "parents") in ongoing, two-way communication enabling parents to work as equal partners with teachers and school staff to ensure their child's academic success;
    • Provide training for teachers and school staff to help them form effective partnerships with parents;
    • Offer activities which 1) inform parents about what their child is expected to learn during the school year and 2) how parents can be more engaged in their child's education; and
    • Identify reasons why some parents did not or could not participate in those activities.
    • Because input from parents is essential in revising or improving our PFEP each year, please take a few minutes to share your insights and preferences for next year's parent events using the link below.
  • The School-Parent Compact is an agreement that parents and school staff develop to explain how they will communicate and work as a team to ensure that students are able to make significant academic gains during the school year. Parents, teachers, and administrators should review it annually to determine if revisions are needed.
