Track and Field - 2017-18
Track and Field Season will begin soon. Our first practice will be held on Friday, January 12th from 4 - 5 pm, and will continue to be held on Mondays and Fridays of each week thereafter from 4 – 5pm. Students will need to be picked up no later than 5:05 after practices.
The school tri-meets are always held on Wednesdays and usually start around 4:30. The Wednesday meets last roughly two hours. Students will stay at Teague for the Wednesday tri-meets and ride the bus for the two away meets. Students may leave the away meets with a parent/guardian and do not have to ride the bus back to Teague.
Listed are the different events that athletes can compete in : 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1600m, 4x100 relay (grouped by gender and grade level), 4x400 relay (grouped by gender and grade level), Shot Put, Long Jump.
All athletes will be competing against other athletes of the same gender and grade level with the exception of the 800m and 1600m races.
Any student who wishes to participate in Track and Field must turn in the following items prior to our first practice (January 12th.)
1. Participation fee of $50.00 (Includes t-shirt.)
2. A completed sports physical form signed by physician. *
3. Parent signed release and consent form. *

Parents who are interested in helping out with track season should contact either Dave King (boys coach, 407-320-1456), or Allison Greek (girls coach, 407-320-1359).
All students interested in participating in extracurricular activities (Sports or club activities) must maintain a 2.0 GPA and have no referrals resulting in an Out of School Suspension. All 8th grade students will be allowed to attend the 8th grade dance as long as they adhere to the following criteria: Maintain a 2.0 cumulative GPA, are not involved in truancy issues, have no referrals resulting in a Saturday School or Suspension, SCPS Dress code poilcies will be enforced at the dance including strapless or "see through" attire.
