Teague Middle School Distance Learning Information

Expectations:
  1. Students are to interact with all classes and complete work as assigned.
  2. Students will receive a minimum of two grades per week.
  3. Students will receive feedback from the teacher.
  4. Parents/guardians will monitor student work, areas of difficulty and support the student and teacher to the best of their ability.
  5. Parents/guardians will contact the teacher, as necessary, in order to support student success.
  6. Parents will contact administration and counselors, as necessary, in order to support student success.
  7. Teague will have an Intervention/Support team to provide additional support to identified students.
Suggested Strategies for Parents/Guardians:
  1. Identify a learning/work location in the home.
  2. Identify a consistent learning/work schedule for each child. At school, we use a bell schedule. At home, a timer could be used. Please note, it might not be possible for your child to do each course each day, especially, if one computer is shared by several children.
  3. Schedule time for each child to discuss what work was accomplished for the day. Please note, it might not be possible for your child to do each course each day, especially if one computer is shared by several children.
  4. Monitor Skyward, weekly, to assure work is being completed.
  5. Take time to breathe. This is a new process for all of us and we at Teague are here to support you and your child.
